Mattes Correction Pad - Extremely versatile saddle pad. Ideal for horses that are out of shape or returning from an injury, where incremental correction may be needed as the horse's back and shoulders gain muscle tone. Or as a rear or front riser. Unique design with four shim pockets along the spine - two front and two rear. Shim the pad in one pocket - or in all four pockets - depending on the horse's needs. Heavy-duty outer cotton quilt. Inner core of no bounce Poly-Flex.
All Mattes pads are designed to be form fitting to reduce pressure points and distribute the rider's weight evenly with a high either and anatomically correct curvature. The pommel area is overlapped with sheepskin to ensure the pad stays in place and does not shift or slide. Machine wash and dry - we recommend MELP wash.
